The Underwater Wonders of Toms Creek 2023

The Underwater Wonders of Toms Creek was a collaborative, socially engaged installation created through Art Reach with the Virginia Tech Department of Fish and Wildlife Conservation and highlighting their research on the bluehead chub. Underwater videos highlight the beauty of the small minnows inhabiting Toms Creek and invite participants to build a bluehead chub nest using bean bags and wood chunks available on the gallery floor. By "thinking like a chub" patrons can viscerally connect with the important task of understanding species habitat.
